Look Alike Products of Eureka Forbes Limited Seized In Asangaon, January 2019

Mumbai, 31^st January 2019: Eureka Forbes Limited in association with Asangaon Police Station which falls under the jurisdiction of the Thane Rural Police Commissioner, today conducted a raid at Pournima Industries owned by Mr. Rajendra Bhoir and Mr. Kailash Bhoir in Asangaon. Based on the complaint lodged by Eureka Forbes, the police identified a well-established factory set up with approx. 100 employees and 10 machines for rolling substandard water purifier cartridges of Aquaguard. An FIR will be filed at the Asangaon Police Station against Rajendra Bhoir and Mr. Kailash Bhoir the owner of the factory for cheating, forgery and violation of copyright etc.

The products manufactured at the facility are sent to retailers and service providers in Mumbai, Thane, Vashi, Navi Mumbai and Pune. This was the second raid conducted by Eureka Forbes in January, 2019. The other was in Bangalore 2 days back. The company has also sent legal notices to unauthorized traders using e-commerce channels to sell its products.

We strongly condemn such acts and have taken a precautionary step to protect our consumers by introducing 'Health Protect', which is a safeguard that has been built into our Aqauaguard purifiers. This advanced feature not only gives consumers advance intimation on periodic maintenance/replacement and usable life of filter cartridges but also ensures that no other grey market parts could be retrofitted into the unit.
