Rigorous Testing Standards

At Eureka Forbes, we make sure that all our products meet standard test conditions for efficient and convenient use by you. Our products are designed keeping in mind your health, the environment and the versatility of their use, to ensure you always get the best out of each product. Here is the list of the standard test conditions that our water purifiers go through before they reach you for a safe and long life.

For RO / RO + UV / RO + UV + MTDS Water Purifiers

  • RO

Reverse Osmosis (RO) purifiers pass water under high pressure through a semipermeable membrane to filter out excess Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from the water.

  • RO + UV

UV employs ultraviolet rays at 253.7 nm to kill viruses and bacteria in your home's water. It can also be combined with RO to get RO+UV filtration.

  • RO + UV + MTDS

MTDS enables you to adjust the taste of the water as per the source, thus giving you sweet-tasting water even when the water source changes. It can be combined with RO and UV to get RO + UV + MTDS filtration.

Standard Test Conditions

Feed Water Quality: The standards followed for feed water quality are as follows.
  • TDS (max)

1000 mg / litre (with NaCl)

  • Pressure

    1.0 kg / cm2

  • Turbidity (max)

    1 NTU

  • Temperature

    25° C

  • Chlorine

    < 0.2 mg / litre

  • Iron

    < 0.3 mg / litre

Membrane Life: The standards followed for membranes are as follows.
  • Pressure on Membrane

    75 psi

  • Product Recovery

    25 %

  • Life

    6000 litres*

  • Frequency

    Once in 12 months

*Actual performance may vary based on the input water conditions, such as TDS, hardness, pressure, temperature and pH levels.

For Green RO / Low TDS Water Purifiers

Green RO or purifiers with water-saving filtration or low TDS purifiers are designed specifically for homes that have limited or intermittent water supply. Highly efficient cartridges are used to filter out impurities without wastage, saving up to 60 % more water compared to ordinary purifiers.

Standard Test Conditions

Feed Water Quality: The standards followed for feed water quality are as follows.
  • TDS (max)

200 mg / litre (with NaCl)

  • Pressure

    1.0 kg / cm2

  • Turbidity (max)

    1 NTU

  • Temperature

    25° C

  • Chlorine

    < 0.2 mg / litre

  • Iron

    < 0.3 mg / litre

Membrane Life: The standards followed for membranes are as follows.
  • Pressure on Membrane

    75 psi

  • Product Recovery

    40 %

  • Life

    6000 litres*

  • Frequency

    Once in 12 months

*Actual performance may vary based on the input water conditions, such as TDS, hardness, pressure, temperature and pH levels.

For UV / UV + UF

  • UV

UV water purifiers employ ultraviolet rays at 253.7 nm to kill viruses and bacteria in your home's water. Ideal for treating water with a TDS level of 1 - 200 mg / litre.

  • UV + UF

Imparts crystal clear clarity to drinking water in addition to making it safe from viral and bacterial contamination.
