Stories

There is a story behind every person associated with EuroAble. Stories of challenges, strength and success, that tend to inspire us all. Read a few below.

Nutan

I was a shy girl, engrossed in the problems of my own family. Being a handicap, life wasn’t that easy. I used to restrict myself in the confines of my house. My father passed away due to a chronic disease - cancer, then sisters got married and eventually I was left alone to take responsibility of my family. I experimented with many things initially and nothing seemed to work. I still remember the day when I went for a job interview of a typist. My application was torn in fRont of my eyes due to my physical disability and nervousness caused due to the new environment I was stepping into. But today I have all the courage and strength to wipe my tears myself and face every challenge. I am here because somewhere deep down I believed in myself and that very belief led me to EuroAble. I was trained thoroughly in communication skills and was provided with product knowledge. Today, I am not only groomed but also confident which has helped to shape up my life. From interacting with my seniors fluently to showing proficiency in handling SAP process, every day has been a milestone ever since I joined EuroAble. I have had an experience that can’t be expressed in words. My experience doesn’t end at my profession at EuroAble but now has extended to my personal happiness. EuroAble has not only given me a platform for financial stability and professional growth but has also helped me in finding my soul mate in the same place!

Savita Ahiru

Savita, the oldest of the 3 siblings, has been fighting her battles alone all through her younger days. She used to do odd jobs to take care of her family and also to fulfill her dream of studying and becoming educated as others. With great difficulty she completed her HSC, she went pillar to post to find a job. Instead of her job she found a soul mate who is also disabled. In a span of two years of marriage she was blessed with a child and was very delighted that her child is able. Her worry increased as she feared whether her child will be educated. As she struggled for a job to support her family, NASEOH mentioned to her that Eureka Forbes was setting up a call centre for the physically challenged. She feared whether EFL will ever recruit her and came with a blocked mind. Today after getting the opportunity she proudly says that she is a big support to her husband and also leads a better life.

Deepak

Deepak is 60% physically challenged from birth after completing his HSC, his family pressurized him to get married. As he struggled to get a job, he took menial jobs to continue his living but it still didn’t help. He was solely dependent on his brothers’ income which made him very uncomfortable. He was depressed that doors for physically challenged was still not open for job opportunities for that matter even Government sectors were still not supporting. He shared his feeling with his friend who is also physically challenged asking her if she knew any organization which can help him get a job. She then mentioned about the opportunity which EFL provided the physically challenged in Mumbai. Today, he stands tall with a stabilized and descent earning, walks in his home with immense pride and gratitude.
