Forbes Pro's World-Class Water Solutions & Zero Liquid Discharge Plants

The industry is facing water scarcity issue. Though water scarcity is felt by all, industries are the first to be impacted as state governments / local bodies give priority to agricultural and residential usages. Industries have to find ways to reduce, reuse and recycle the water used in their premises. The industry is in immediate need of niche technologies for water treatment such as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).

The principle of “zero discharge” is recycling of most industrial wastewater. This means that wastewater will be treated and used again in the process. Thus eliminating the impact on the environment of the contaminated water.

As a statutory requirement, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has issued norms towards the water consumption limit of the Thermal Power Plants. It states that new plants installed after 1st January, 2017 shall have to meet specific water consumption up to maximum of 2.5 m³/MWh and achieve zero waste water discharged.

a) Automated Variable Filtration Technology

Automated Variable Filtration Technology is the state of art water filtration technology delivering equivalent water quality of micro-filtration technology. AVF technology is useful for removing suspended matter, turbidity for drinking water application and removal of BOD, reactive substances & phosphorous, making water suitable for reuse.

The technology is simple enough and yet more effective compared to other conventional treatment systems. It utilizes proprietary engineered media.

This technology is user and operator friendly as compared to regular membrane technologies.

b) Filter Clear Vessel Technology

Filter Clear Vessel Technology is a granular filtration process with a wide range of applications, from sea water and brackish water pre-treatment in membrane RO system to tertiary treatment of secondary effluents.

This is a pressured multimedia filter technology capable of separating suspended solids up to micron level for varied quality of water with a comparatively high and consistent performance.

FCV is a viable alternative for Filter+UF System in any water or waste water treatment plant.

The Filter Clear Vessel Technology works on higher loading rates thus requiring lesser footprint for the systems. The media life of FCV is more than 10 years.
